The Blues Saloon is new to our event calendar. It only hosts our type of music on Fridays and only from 6:00 to 9:30pm as there are DJ’s and other acts following. We are fairly certain we are the only type of variety Minneapolis cover band that they have on their schedule. When one looks at this stage and room, it very much evokes a New Orleans jazz or blues club. Spacious dance floor with a few tables surrounding and then a bar and more table tables up three or four steps, connected by a large staircase.

We’re always surprised when 6 PM begins that there are actually people there ready to go, even if they had to work a full day on a Friday. We love dancers and so when they’re out there, calling our names, raising their glasses and giving us high-fives, we so appreciate it. And it’s fun when we can mix in a couple of blues tunes from Susan Tedeschi and Stevie Ray Vaughan into our set list to honor the venue’s origin . Being that we are a unique act there we find it fun and humorous when we can break out into some Metallica or some Bee Gees.

Nip has us dialed in on sound almost magically. We aren’t an easy footprint . All six players have vocal microphones, and every instrument from keytar to bongos.

This venue has its regulars and although we’ve only played our second show here, many are here to see Henry our lead guitarist who lives nearby and is a frequent visitor.

Because of the spacious dance floor, we found opportunity for many of us to be out there playing guitars and singing amongst the crowd. It’s one of our favorite things to do and another way we really connect with our audience.  We wanna make sure every performance that people are leaving happy and not with “ the blues. “

We believe the mission was accomplished.
