This would be our third time playing Chaska River City Days, and we’re fortunate enough to the be entertainment director’s favorite band.  Don is retiring from the event this year, and although they’re going big with a regional act at night, he asked that we be invited back to play the big stage in the afternoon.  We’d not played an afternoon there before.  Typically Chaska only had bands at night.  But – this was special.  The event was Chaska River City Days’ 50th Anniversary, so they were packing the day full of music and activity.

The stage was indeed a pro-quality large stage. This Minnesota cover band got to prowl around at will – but under cloudy sky, which suited us just fine.  It was going to be near 90 degrees and humid, so any cloud cover we could get helped keep temps a little lower.

Folks braved the heat in comfy chairs, taking in the food and drink brought by numerous food trucks.  We stayed sweaty, but alive as we pounded through everything from Lizzo to Metallica, Chappel Roan to Guns and Roses.  That’s how we like it.  And that’s how we get invited back.  We cover true variety and with energy to spare.  The next band called us out from the second stage stating “how about that SUGAR BUZZ? I hope we can keep up with them!”
